My Favorites :)

I enjoyed everything we explored in this class, and I had fun creating all of the presentations, videos, and other really neat things! I also learned a lot that I didn't about the internet and "Behind the scenes" of Web sites. I really enjoy blogging, such a great way to share stuff you find! Although I really did enjoy everything in this class, there is a Web sites that we explored that was my over all favorite!

Flickr

Flickr is a social media Web site all about pictures. It allows you to follow people, to keep you updated on their latest pictures, and people can follow you, so they can see your pictures! It has a lot of professional photographers, but not too many people you know are likely to have a Flickr. When you create an account, it will not ask for much; just your full name, email address, and other basic stuff. You will have a profile page where you upload all of your photos. You can also favorite pictures, and you can go back and look at them! I have always loved taking pictures, and editing them, that is why I took to this sight so quickly. I now use Flickr almost everyday! I even have the app on my Samsung Galaxy 3. It makes my pictures look better and there are a lot more effects that you can use for your pictures!

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a Web browser developed by google, that supports many new softwares that google has. I explored some of the gaming apps on Google Chrome. There are many other apps you can choose from. When you create an account, you have a Chrome apps page. You go to the Web store, where you will find the apps. you can add them to your apps page. Just click on one you want, and add it! Most of the are free, but some of them cost money. Google Chrome is a great way to store things, and another way to find new things, it is easy to explore!

Smore!

You can make flyers for anything on Smore! It is very beneficial and fun, you can get very creative with it! Check out Smore!

Story Jumper

On Story Jumper, a web Site used to create story books, I came up with the idea of a book on how to make pizzas! I made it public so the whole world can read it! You can also make them private, to where only you can see them. You can have your book published into an actual book and have it sent right to you for $25! It is even a hard back book.

Animoto

I created this video on Animoto, a Web site that allows you to create videos with pictures and texts. The options are limited, if you do not have a subscription. They are only $5 a month! You can make up to a 10 minute video. It is so fun, because you can get extremely creative!

Padlet

Padlet is a fun, creative Web site where you can make a wall, and post pictures on it. You can make more than one wall, say if you wanted to organize your pictures, this is a great way to do so! You can also change your wall to public, which means anyone could post pictures on your walls, but they can't delete yours. Or you can make them Private, where only the people you add can post pictures to your wall. It is very beneficial, because it is an easy way to share with more than one person quickly, and efficiently. Go check out Padlet!

GO2WEB20

GO2WEB20 is a Web site that has many beneficial suggested Web sites to use! While exploring it, I found a couple Web sites, and I believe they are very neat and beneficial!

The first one is called Smore. Smore is a Web site used to build flyers. Say you lost something, or you want to sell something, or maybe you are looking for a job or needing help! Well Smore is a great tool that can help you get the word out! You can change the font and style of your flyer to make it stick out, or to make it look proper.

The other one is called 24me. 24me helps you keep an organized schedule. If you have a very busy schedule it will help you to categorize things, and make it less stressful because you will have your whole day, or week planned out with 24me. It is available only for iPhones right now. But it is coming soon for Androids. You can find this 24me on the App Store!

FireFox Web Tools

While exploring FireFox's Web Tools, I came across some beneficial tools that I thought were worth sharing!

Extensions

FireFox Add-ons include themes and extensions. Extensions are things you add to your computer that helps programs run more efficiently. There are many extensions that you can use. Some are fun and some are truly beneficial. Some extensions are for audio and video, voice and text, cleaning up viruses; they're endless possibilities.

Themes

Themes are a type of extension, mainly for your enjoyment. There are a ton of different themes. Your theme will show up at the top and bottom of your screen, it is very easy to add on to your computer screen. You can type in key words to search for certain themes. You can make your own collections of themes, and different categories or your favorites!

Flickr

Flickr is a social media Web site that is all photos! You can follow people, and favorite there pictures they post, and people can do the same to you. You can edit them before you upload them to your photo stream. You can also upload videos! You can make different albums (a.k.a. sets) to keep your pictures organized! piZap is a funny photo editing Website that you can manipulate to add stickers, test, objects, or even other pictures to your creation!

Bloggif is a Web site where you can make animated text, edit pictures, put text with pictures, the works! It is very fun!

PhotoFunia is a really neat photo editing Web site with endless choices of fonts for your photos! It is very easy to use as well!

FotoFlexer is a photo imaging Web site where you can photo shop pictures and change the effects!!

Google Voice

Google Voice is a product on Google that lets you make free calls right from your computer! All you need is a google account! It is beneficial to people who may not have phones, or forgot their phone! It could also be helpful for incase of emergencies and you don't have your phone by you, it would be quicker to call from your computer! You just type in the number of whom you would want to call, and it calls them! Google will give you a number unless you want to use your own!

Kerpoof Studio

Kerpoof Studio is a really neat drawling Web site that you can make really fun pictures! It is my favorite out of all of the Web sites we explored! It will fill in whatever color you choose in the shape you want for you. It also makes the shapes for you. For example, if you are trying to make a perfect circle, but it is a little off, once you let go of the mouse it will make it into a perfect circle! You can make your own colors to use, and you can save your drawings. When you save a drawing you earn coins, and you can use those coins to but different types of paint brushes, and other drawing tools. You definitely have to check this site out!

My Blog Stats

I have had this blog since January, and we have made a total of 12 posts so far! I have a total of 396 page views so far. People from all over the world have viewed my blog, mainly from Kansas, but there are a few from Massachusetts!

Avatars

Making an avatar is a fun, easy way to express who you are by making a character that looks and has the same hobbies as you! If you aren't comfortable using a picture of you as your profile picture, then avatars are a perfect thing for you! You can use them as a profile picture! It is all up to you about who your avatar is. There are many Web sites you can use to make an avatar. Here are some that I explored today!

South Park Studio

South Park Studio is an avatar Web site that is South Park themed. You can make your characters look like you, but they are in the format of South Park! You can change the hair, eyes, face, and all the basics! You can also give them a place to be at, the setting!

Build Your Wild Self

Build Your Wild Self is a very unique, fun avatar creating website! You can give yourself animal features and literally, build your wild self! Here is the one I made today!

Zui

Zui is also a unique way to express your avatar. You can add many different things to your avatar! You can give your avatar super parts, and head and face gear, and change their clothing as well. It probably isn't something you would use for a business account, but something fun!

Poll Everywhere

Poll everywhere is a really neat, fun Web site that you can use to make polls for people to vote on! Per say you would like a wide spread opinion from many people, you can make a question and post it! You can vote using via text message or you can vote on the Web site! It is a live audience system and you can watch the polls votes go up and down as people vote!

Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts is a fun, easy way to communicate via Web with friends, family, and classmates! You can either video chat, or just regular chat with up to nine people at the same time! It's beneficial for relatives who you never get to see because you can video chat them! Or a friend that is moving, this is a great way to keep in touch with them! Say you need to work on a group project that is due the next day, all you have to do is log onto Google Hangouts and you can work on it with your group! All you need is a Gmail and a Google+. You have to know everyone's gmail so you can type it in to add them to your circle! You can make more than one circle as well!

I highly recommend checking out Google Hangouts!

Google Drive

Google Drive is a product of Google that is made to save links, images, documents, and such! You can save things to your drive to keep them safe, just incase they get deleted they will be backed up! There are other cool things you can do with Google Drive as well!

Google Drive allows you to edit your documents
and files right from your Drive account. You can
also create drawings, spreadsheets, presentations,
and folders to keep your files organized. Another
neat thing you can do with Google Drive is you
can share things with people! All you have to do is
email them the link, but customize it to where they
can see and edit it, if you want them to! This comes
in handy when you are working on a group project
but can not find the time to meet up and work on it
together, because you could just email them the project!

Blogger's Gadgets!

There are many different types of gadgets that you can add to your blog! Most are beneficial, but some are entertaining and just neat to look at. Some of the types of gadgets include entertainment, news, quotes, calendars, tips, virtual pets or people, educational, religious, daily posts, you can add text or images, and many, many more! 

Here are the steps to adding a gadget!

1) Click on "design" in the upper right corner of your blog page

2) Click on layout near the bottom of the list on the left hand side of the page. (it will show the layout of your page)

3) Click on add a gadget!

 Here are some of the gadgets I added to my blog and a brief description to each!

Newsreel

The Newsreel gadget shows you the latest

news on Google, and has a link to the Web 

page that the update is about to make searching 

for things quick and easy! It also looks nice on a

blog since many people use the internet to read 

the news.

Search This Blog

Search This Blog is used to make searching

for things on a blog easy, so you don't have

to scroll through every single blog post until

you find the one you were looking for. It is 

very beneficial to people who make many blog

posts, because it makes it easier to search for 

certain posts!

Translate

The gadget, Translate, can be very beneficial

for bloggers, considering the fact that people 

all over the world can read your blog! Translate

lets you pick what language people use to read 

your blog, since not everyone reads English.

Total Pageviews

Total Pageviews gadget is nice because you can 

see how many people have viewed your blog. It 

may be beneficial to some, but others may just 

want to use it to see how many people view their 

blog.

Fish

Fish is a gadget that is for entertainment and 

eye catching purposes! You can feed the fish 

by clicking in the box that the fish are 

swimming in. You can watch the colorful

fish swim around!

Symbaloo

Today in class we explored the Web site Symbaloo. It is a site used to book mark your favorite Web sites and pages so you don't have to take the time to type it in every time you want to visit some where! You can add up to 52 book marks per page. The pages are called Webmixes. You can even customize your background and change the icons! Creating an account is very
easy to do, all you need is an email! You can follow
people and share their Webmixes also.

I think Symbaloo is a very useful Web tool! It isn't complex either, so really anyone could figure out how to use it. It could be very helpful to people who are vey busy and use certain cites a lot, or people who don't like taking the time to type in web addresses. Or say if you won't remember what a Web site you really liked is called, then you can bookmark it using Symbaloo and you won't have to remember it!

Exploring Voki

We explored a Web site called Voki! Voki is a Web site where you
can create customized avatars to send to people, or use for your blogs. You can give them different voices with different accents and in different languages! Some of them do cost money, however most of them don't.  There are many types of avatars, from animals to aliens, to chose from!

I think Voki is a fun Web site that can be very useful! You could send a family member a greetings, or to cheer a friend up with a message. It's very easy to use as well! You can check out my Voki to the right of the screen! Click here to check out Voki!

How I Use the Internet

I use the internet mainly for social media purposes such as Twitter and Instagram. I also use Google to search for cheer related things:  how to better your jumps and stretches, different types of bows, spiriting, etc. I use my smart phone for all internet uses.


Twitter is a social media Website where you can follow people and groups to keep updated on things you like. You can also follow friends and family to keep updated on activities in their lives.







The social media Website, Instagram, is the same as Twitter, but with pictures. You can add effects and crop your pictures.You can also upload short videos, and what is called a "Flipagram." You have followers, and can follow people as well!









I don't go to specific Websites for anything in particular, I do use Google a lot when I need to search something quickly, like the weather, or if I want to know something.
